An historic setting where picturesque countryside meets modern elegance

Your wedding day begins when you pass the pear tree growing in the courtyard and step over the honey stone threshold, built to be the same height above sea level as St Paul’s Cathedral. Steeped in history, the characterful house could have stood here for centuries, but in a charming twist it was in fact moved here, brick by brick, from another site in the village.

Ascend the Atrium staircase to Cascade, your purpose-designed dressing room at the top of the house. The next time you stand in this spot, you’ll be capturing final photos before making your way to the aisle.

Where love blossoms

And memories will last a lifetime. Bathed in sunshine in summer or softly twinkling thanks to the gauzy, fairy light canopy, your walk down the aisle in Blossom is magical in every season. Take each other’s hands, make your vows and seal the moment with a kiss beneath the vaulted ceiling.

You’ll be on cloud nine as you step onto the bespoke garden staircase. Pause for a romantic photo midway with your guests gathered on the stairs, take in the country views and church spire in the distance, then descend to the gardens below. Secluded and peaceful, the air will fill with laughter, the clinking of glasses and the soft fragrance of flowers.

Where promises are made

Encapsulated by the beauty of Blossom, or caressed by the breeze in the open-air Garden Pavilion. Tie the knot in The Pear Tree’s elegant gardens, where borders brim with seasonal flowers amid a natural vista of vineyards and treetops. Your ceremony will be overlooked only by the church spire for which The Pear Tree was once the vicarage.

Glide through the Bartlett Lounge and out into the gardens, where flower borders line the pathway that leads you to the aisle. For a truly fairy-tale entrance, you can even descend from the garden staircase – a first-look the love of your life will never forget.
