While we don’t provide music during ceremonies ourselves, we work with outstanding live musicians such as violinists—and for a touch of cool sophistication, saxophonists—who bring a beautiful, timeless sound to the ceremony or post-ceremony drinks in the Bartlett.

Soft, live background music in the Bartlett provides a welcoming and relaxed vibe for guests, allowing for great conversation while still offering an immersive experience. A saxophonist during the drinks reception in particular can create an unforgettable mood that’s both laid-back and vibrant.

One question couples often ask is: “Is the Bartlett big enough for a lively evening celebration?” After delivering over 150 successful parties at Pear Tree, we can confidently say—absolutely.

While the Bartlett is purposefully intimate, its clever design makes it one of the most effective layouts we’ve worked with. There’s ample space for a full-size DJ setup—we likely have the biggest and most visually impressive footprint of any provider, and it fits beautifully. The room also allows for a clearly defined central dance floor and surrounding areas for guests to relax, enjoy a drink, or take part in interactive features.

The space flows naturally, with the bar area doubling as a social hub and quieter retreat from the dance floor. The opposite end is ideal for fun extras like our magic mirror, retro booth, or the venue’s own selfie pod. We’ve even had saxophonists perform alongside our DJs, adding a layer of live energy that fills the space without overwhelming it.
