Wedding Venue FAQs
To arrange a visit, you can visit our book a visit page on our website and select a suitable date and time using our visit calendar. Alternatively, if you want to speak to our team directly, call 01793 781270.
Your initial payment is £750 of your venue hire fee.

Once you have been to visit, you will receive an email with login details for our booking portal, which can also be found here. Remember to book your registrar or church, details of which can be found below.
You book your ceremony via Wiltshire registry office. Their contact number is 0300 003 4570.
There are four churches within a two-mile radius of The Pear Tree, including St Mary’s Church which is next door!
If you would prefer a church wedding, you can still make use of Cascade before your ceremony. Alternatively, you may choose to arrive at The Pear Tree after your wedding ceremony.

We strongly recommend that you take out wedding insurance. Weddings are a big investment, and fingers crossed that you’ll never need to call on your insurance but having it in place will cover you for a range of eventualities.
Ceremony – We can accommodate up to 150 guests for a ceremony in Blossom, we can also accommodate 150 guests for an outdoor ceremony.
Dining – We can seat up to 150 guests for your wedding breakfast in The Orangery.
Dancing – We can accommodate up to 200 guests for your evening reception.
Accommodation – We have 18 bedrooms at The Pear Tree, meaning we can accommodate up to 36 guests. Each guest can also join us for breakfast in The Orangery the next morning.
Yes, we have Cascade, our purpose-designed dressing room with a seating area and hair and makeup stations. This space is available from 9 am the morning of your wedding. We also have ‘The Library’ which doubles as an ideal second wedding preparation space, and is available for an hour and a half before the ceremony.
Suppliers have access from 10 am.
Last orders will be called at 11:15 pm, the bar then closes at 11:30 pm along with the music finishing. The venue closes at 12 midnight, we ask that all guests who aren’t staying the night have pre-booked taxis to collect them by midnight, and those staying overnight are asked to retire to their bedroom by midnight. NB: The gardens close at 10 pm.
Unfortunately, we can’t allow real candles in Blossom (due to licensing restrictions), or outdoors in the Pavilion. Candles are permitted in our other venue spaces however, they must be placed in suitable candle holders. Battery operated candles are also a great alternative. Please speak to your event manager for further information.
Yes, but we only permit real petal confetti or biodegradable confetti and it must be thrown outside. Confetti cannons/shooters/launchers are not permitted.
Unfortunately, outdoor games are not permitted at The Pear Tree.
Yes, we have heating for the colder months and air conditioning for the warmer months. Please note, our bedrooms have heating but not air conditioning. The majority of the ground floor is air conditioned.
Out of respect for our neighbours and surroundings, we unfortunately cannot allow sparklers, fireworks or a firepit at The Pear Tree.
Yes! We love (well behaved) dogs, and they are more than welcome to join you for the ceremony and for pictures. We have two rooms that can be allocated for dogs to stay overnight and dog crates will be provided. We can provide a water bowl and treats.
Unfortunately, lanterns are not permitted at The Pear Tree due to their environmental impact.
Yes! We have our very own ‘Pear Pod’ at The Pear Tree which you can use on your wedding day. There are three different packages available, all of which can be booked through our Events Team (please get in touch for more info).

We have a selection of premium spirits, cocktails and luxury coffees available. Please speak to our Events Team for more detailed information.
Absolutely! We have a great selection of alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) favours for you to choose from.

We have a fantastic team of in-house chefs who provide all of our catering. It is not possible to use your own caterers. You are welcome to use your own suppliers for anything else, subject to them meeting our required conditions for insurance etc. We have a list of recommended suppliers that you may find helpful.

Event Venue FAQs
Yes! We can and do host many different types of events and celebrations, such as gala dinners, product launches, Christmas parties and many more. The best way to find out more about hosting an event here is by visiting our website’s events page or contacting the team directly on 01793 781263.

Every event we host here is unique, so we do not have a standard pricing package. Instead, we speak with you directly to create a bespoke package that suits you and your event.
This will vary depending on your event type, but our maximum capacity is 200 guests.
We do not allow outside caterers at The Pear Tree. However, we are more than happy to work with you to create a bespoke menu that perfectly fits your vision.
Yes, all events have exclusive use of the venue.
Yes, we are happy for you to use your own suppliers for everything apart from catering and drinks.
Food and Drink FAQs
All catering is provided by The Pear Tree’s onsite team of chefs.
Our chefs love working with you to create your own menu if you would like something a little different from our packages.
It is not possible to bring any food and drink into the venue other than a wedding cake, confectionery (which must be in the original sealed containers in which they were purchased), and edible favours with allergens clearly labelled. Please speak with our team if you need any further clarification.
Please speak to our Events Team about any allergies or dietary requirements you or your guests may have during your meetings in the lead-up to the event.
Yes, we have a delicious range of vegan and vegetarian options.
You can work with our bar team to create bespoke cocktails for your event.
Yes! We have a range of delicious grazing boards available to enjoy while you get ready in Cascade. We can also provide bottles of Champagne or prosecco for your wedding morning celebrations. Please speak to the Events Team for more information.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to change the draught products on our bar, but we can add beer, cider, or ale drums to your package upon request. Please speak to our events team for more information.

Yes, there is ample parking available at The Pear Tree. Cars can be left overnight but must be collected by 10 am the next morning.
Yes, there is a designated smoking area in the front courtyard area. Smoking is prohibited anywhere else within the building on the Terrace or in the back garden.

Our bar is usually open ahead of a wedding ceremony. Please note that the bar closes 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Please speak to the wedding couple about the exact timings of the day.

The Pear Tree has 18 bedrooms, including Moonglow, the incredible Master Suite. All accommodation is exclusive to those attending the wedding or event.
Once you have booked your wedding or event date, we will share a link to the website and a secret code with you, which will unlock the bedrooms for the night of your wedding or event. You can then book the rooms you want and then share the code with your guests to reserve their rooms.
This may be possible if we do not have an event booking the day before. We can confirm this closer to the wedding or event date. We will release the night before the wedding date four months prior. Please note that we require a minimum of 6 bedrooms to be booked. We can offer supper and drinks if this is something you would like. Please speak with our Events Team if this is something that you may be interested in.

Guests can check in to their bedrooms from 3.30 pm.
We ask that all guests check out by 10 am.
Bedroom 3 on the ground floor is an ambulant bedroom for overnight guests. A ramp can be added for access to Blossom.
